Connected accounts
Connecting your playing accounts lets Chessbook compare your online games with your saved repertoire. Correctly played repertoire moves can count toward practice, and Chessbook can flag opening mistakes for you to revisit.
How do I connect an account?
Open Settings → Connected accounts.
- Lichess: follow the connection flow and authorize Chessbook on Lichess.
- Chess.com: enter your Chess.com username, not your email address. Chessbook does not ask for your Chess.com password.
Use the account you actually play on so the games reflect your own opening practice.
Does connecting an account build my repertoire?
The connection compares games with moves you have saved. To build a repertoire from your previous games, use the separate import flow.
Playing a move in a game is useful practice, but it does not mean the entire line is permanently learned. Continue checking your due reviews and use spaced repetition for moves you need to revisit.
Can I disconnect?
Yes. Return to Connected accounts and disconnect the relevant account. You can reconnect later.
